In fact, Reema’s association with some of the biggest hits of the Hindi film industry was legendary. Lagoo played with great elan memorable roles in movies such as Saajan, Aashiqui, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Vaastav, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Hum Saath Saath Hain, among others. The list is stupendous.

Born in 1958 to the Marathi actress Mandakini Bhadbhade—who was well known for the drama Lekure udand Jaahalee—Lagoo registered her acting abilities right at the outset when she was a student. No wonder, her professional acting started soon after finishing school.
Her first acting job was on the Marathi stage and she remained active on the Marathi stage for about four decades. She then went on to play many supportive roles in Marathi cinema and television—she played a memorable leading role in Marathi serial Tuza Maza Jamena. It was in the late 70s and early 80s, that she started acting in Hindi as well as Marathi films.
Above all, Reema Lagoo was a veteran and versatile actress, who breathed life into every role that she was assigned and donned several hats during her long and illustrious career. She played a dancer in Aakrosh (1980) and a businesswoman in Yeh Dillagi(1994). In the 1990s, she also starred opposite Supriya Pilgaonkar in the television serial Tu Tu Main Main and Shrimaan Shrimati.
